Looking ahead to Summer 2027…
We plan to offer 3 weeks of Dance & Nature camp in mid- to late- June.
We will have 1-2 weeks of Dance Intensives for older dancers to deepen their skills.
We will have Steppin’ Out Prep Camp the first week of August.

Our summer camps offer outdoor play, creative dance classes, art projects and a final informal performance!
We offer camps at two locations:
1. All DANCE & NATURE CAMPS will take place at Heritage Park, 2300 Glade Road.
2. More dance-intensive camps will be held at Blacksburg Dance Theater (1711 N. Main St.) with occasional field trips.
*No dancer will be turned away due to financial need. Please reach out via email about scholarship information.
Camp Descriptions

These full-day camps are designed for dancers who would like to focus on increasing their technical skills and creative artistry!
*Some dance experience recommended, but not required.
Ages 10-17
Location: Blacksburg Dance Theater, 1711 North Main Street
Cost: $325 per dancer (10% discount for sibling pairs)
Sample Schedule:
9:00-9:15: Arrive/Circle
9:15-10:30: Technique Class #1 (ballet/modern/hip hop/jazz/musical theatre, etc. rotate each day)
10:30-11:00: Free Time, Snack, Art Project
11:00-11:30: Strength Training
11:30-12:45: Technique Class #2 (modern dance/improvisation/choreography)
12:45-1:15: Lunch, Free Time
1:15-3:00: Choreography Project/Rehearsal
3:00-3:30: Free Time
3:30: Dismissal
*Likely field trip to VT Center for the Arts one of the mornings.

Half-Day Dance + Nature Camps at Heritage Park!
Our most requested summer offering is back! Highlights include creek splashing, outdoor dance obstacle courses, bug hunts, and a special outdoor dance performance for families.
Ages: 5-11
Cost: $175 per dancer (10% discount for sibling pairs)

9:15-10:00: Creative Movement Class
10:00-10:45: Free Play/Snack/Art
10:45-11:30: Nature Activities (hike, creek splash, bug hunt, etc.)
11:30-12:15: Practice Dance Show
12:15-1:00: Lunch, Free Play
1:00: Dismissal
